Terms of use

Mis à jour 20 octobre 2026

These terms govern the use of the Mage Fortress app and site — card duels of mages. Read them before you sign up and before your first purchase.

1. The game and gold

Mage Fortress is a card game for two players. You can play a bot without an account and duel other players: without a stake or for gold.

Gold is a game currency. It has no money value and can never be withdrawn, sold, exchanged for real money or transferred outside the game. Gold comes from the Supreme Mage's gift in your profile, from duels, tournaments and the wheel of fortune, and can be bought in the app. There is no real-money play in Mage Fortress.

2. Accepting the terms

By creating an account, signing in, buying gold or joining a duel you accept these terms and the documents in the footer: the privacy policy and the cookie policy.

If you do not accept them, do not use the app.

3. Age

The game is intended for players aged 18 and over: gold stakes and the wheel of fortune resemble games of chance, even though nothing in them can be won in money.

4. One account

One person, one account. Do not share an account, play against yourself from a second account or open several accounts for the Supreme Mage's gift or a code.

Extra accounts are closed, and gold obtained through them may be cancelled.

5. How a duel works

The host picks the battlefield, the stake in gold and the turn time. The stake is taken from the host's gold when the request is created and from the opponent's when they join. A request nobody joins disappears after the waiting time and its stake is returned.

The game runs on the server: your device never sees your opponent's hand or the deck order. When the turn time runs out, the server discards a card for the player; several missed turns in a row lose the game. Surrender is a loss too.

  • Win: the winner receives both stakes minus the fee shown when the request is created.
  • Draw: both stakes are returned.
  • If a game cannot be finished because of a failure, the stakes are returned.

6. Opponents and bots

Besides people, the game's bots play in the lobby. A bot plays by the same rules and with the same hidden information as a person. The game never changes the deal or the outcome of a game based on a player's stake, status or purchases.

7. Purchases in the app

Gold packs are sold through Google Play. Google Play shows the price in your currency, takes the payment and its own taxes; we never receive your card details. The gold is credited to the account you are signed in to as soon as Google confirms the purchase.

Gold is a digital item used at once: a purchase is final unless Google Play's refund policy or the law of your country gives you a refund. If a purchase is refunded or charged back, the gold credited for it is taken back from your balance.

Premium, the mantle, moon cards and other goods of the market are paid for with gold.

8. The wheel of fortune

A spin of the wheel costs gold. The chance of every prize is shown next to the wheel. Prizes are game items only: gold, premium days, gifts and similar.

9. Chat and reports

The lobby, games and private messages have a chat. Do not insult, threaten, advertise, post other people's data or pretend to be staff. Any message can be reported and any player blocked; staff may delete messages and mute players temporarily or permanently.

10. What is not allowed

Playing with helper programs, colluding with an opponent, losing on purpose to move gold, exploiting errors, using other people's accounts or payment methods and trying to hack or overload the game are forbidden. Such an account may be blocked and gold obtained unfairly cancelled.

11. Deleting your account

You can delete your account at any time in your profile (Profile → Delete account) or as described on the Account deletion page. Gold, purchases and items close with the account and are not refunded.

12. Liability and changes

The game is provided as it works. We are not liable for losses caused by a lost password or by network problems outside the game.

These terms may be updated; the date under the title is the date of the current version. Using the game after it means you accept the new version.
